Mass effect Revelation

By Drew Karpyshyn

read by Dominic
Mass effect

For those that have played the game Mass Effect I straight out recommend this book, it helps understand alot of the story and the characters, it explains everything you didn't see in the game.

For those that haven't played the game this is a good time to read this book it will help you understand it better.

The book starts of like this, a recon team of four soldiers heads out to investigate a distress call at a base called Sidon, well things go good they take down everybody on the first floor when they relies there a basement going down 2 kilometers where the research base is at. Anderson the man in charge of the team fears there might be an ambush waiting for them at the bottom, but as an Aliance marine you must be ready to take risk for the life of others in your squad or any other individual. So they go down, as they imagined there were rebels in the room but none of them were prepared for what Anderson had coming. they were all wiped out except for two rebels who ran for there lifes. Eventualy the two were killled but they had triggered a bomb as well. (If you want to know more look it up your self, i dont wont to spoil it)

Well in Sidon illegal activity was happing and it so happens that one of the researchers had escaped from the massacre. By now a Specter was on the case, these Specters are elite soldiers who are up and beyond they have been granted accesses to anything. Giving them an advantage to find people who needed to be brought to justice.

So Anderson was on the case to investigate who was the person that escaped from Sidon. But fighting for the same thing was Seran a Specter. Edan a rich man who was the one that order the attack on Sidon, now hired a hitman to eliminate the person who had escaped from the Sidon, so now there are three people going out for the same person. (I’m going to skip much of what the book says because you need to read some yourself).

So Anderson finds the missing person at the same time the hitman does, this person is a Krogan named Skarr, and hear is where Anderson has a gunfight with Skarr and then Sersn comes in and it becomes in all out frenzy against Skarr. Krogans are a very powerful species and can take many hits before they fall dead on there backs. But even stubborn brut people know when to run away, the Krogan had lost this battle. Seran and Anderson both stayed behind to investigate and interrogate Sanders, she was on of the scientist that was researching on Sidon.(skipping again).

Sanders was human and so was Anderson, Seran was a Turrian so Sanders trusted Anderson more when it came to the questions and answer time. Seran left knowing he had been lied to by the human but Anderson was apple to take out some real information on Sidon. (skipping).
Anderson had formed a bond between Sanders and him, he felt like he had to protector. This made a spark of romance bloom between them. But Anderson had just gotten divorced so he didn’t real know what to do.

Eventualy Anderson had to hatefully work with Seran after the Aliance and C-sec made an agreement. But really the only reason Anderson wanted to work with Seran is because Edan had captured Sanders and the Turrian knew where they were so he cooperated. Seran hated humans but he would do anything to honor the council and if they said work with a human he did it. Anderson wanted to have 30mins of a head start to find Sanders before Seran went in the mining facility and blew the place up.(here is where the best action is located……. Sorry but I cant spoil it) but the best description of gore is in these last few chapters……. READ THE BOOK.
